This policy explains how SilverCoins.in ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use https://silvercoins.in (the "site"). It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), and it also describes the rights of visitors from other countries.

1. What we collect
Price alert sign-ups
Your email address, the optional target price and currency you enter, the date and time, and the IP address the request came from. We use the IP address only to prevent abuse.
Contact form
Your name, email address, the topic you choose, your message, the date and time, and your IP address.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our web server automatically records technical information for each request: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. We use these logs to keep the site secure and working.
Affiliate link clicks
When you click an affiliate link, such as a "Check price on Amazon" button, we record which link was clicked, the page it was on and the time. We don't record your IP address or anything else that identifies you with these clicks. We use this to see which content is useful.
What we don't collect
We don't ask for payment details, government IDs or passwords, and we don't knowingly collect sensitive personal data.
2. How we use your data

The site itself does not set tracking cookies. To remember the currency you chose, we save a small value (sc_cur) in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
4. Advertising
We may show advertising to keep the site free, including ads served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other websites.

5. Third-party services
- Google Fonts: your browser downloads our fonts from Google's servers, which lets Google see your IP address. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Price and exchange-rate data: our server fetches this from data providers. No information about you is sent to them.
- Hosting and email providers: our hosting company stores the site and its data. If we use an email delivery service to send alerts, it processes your email address only to deliver our messages.
6. Sharing your data
We don't sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site (acting on our instructions), or when the law or a valid legal request requires it.
7. How long we keep data
- Price alert sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Contact messages: up to 24 months, then deleted unless we need them for an ongoing matter.
- Server logs: for a limited period set by our hosting provider, usually a few weeks.
8. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- get a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected or updated;
- have your data erased when it is no longer needed;
- withdraw your consent, for example by unsubscribing from alerts;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated; and
- have your grievances addressed.
Visitors in the EU, UK and other regions have similar rights under their local laws, including the right to object to processing and to data portability. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or your local data protection authority.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. For example, the files that store form submissions cannot be accessed from the web. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a breach where the law requires it.
10. Children
The site is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when we add new features or services. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will highlight significant changes on the site.
