Canadian Maple Leaf: FAQ

How much is a Canadian Maple Leaf worth today?

Based on today's silver price (13 Oct 2026), the silver in a Canadian Maple Leaf is worth about $59.40, or ₹6,552 at the Indian market rate. This is the melt value. Dealers and jewellers sell above it and usually buy slightly below it.

How much silver is in a Canadian Maple Leaf?

A Canadian Maple Leaf weighs 31.11 g at 99.99% purity, so it contains 31.11 g of pure silver (1.0001 troy oz).

Is a Canadian Maple Leaf worth more than its silver value?

Usually, yes: bullion and collectible coins sell at a premium over melt value because of minting, distribution and collector demand. Common, circulated coins trade close to melt, while rare dates, mint marks and high grades can be worth much more.

How do I know if I'm paying a fair price?

Enter the seller's price into the premium checker above. It compares the quote with the live metal value and shows the premium as a percentage. Compare that percentage between sellers before you buy.
